 Dr. Shashank Nagendra is a highly accomplished Interventional Neurologist and Stroke Specialist with over 15 years of experience in managing complex neurological and neurovascular disorders. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, and also practices as a Consultant Neurologist in Mumbai.


He has extensive hands-on experience in acute stroke management, neurointerventional and neurovascular procedures, and has performed and assisted in a large number of diagnostic and therapeutic neurointerventional procedures, including stroke-related interventions. His clinical expertise spans the management of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, cerebral vascular malformations, demyelinating disorders, and complex neurological emergencies.


Dr. Nagendra has received advanced international training, including an observership in Interventional Neuroradiology at Toronto Western Hospital (2023) and a Stroke Fellowship at the Calgary Stroke Program, where he was involved in cutting-edge stroke care protocols and research. His practice is strongly rooted in evidence-based medicine, rapid decision-making in acute stroke, and multidisciplinary neurological care.


Dr. Nagendra believes in timely intervention, precision-based neurological care, and patient-centric treatment planning, particularly in time-sensitive stroke management. His approach integrates advanced neurointerventional techniques, academic rigor, and compassionate patient care to achieve optimal neurological outcomes.
